sometimes you are one point away from winning, one point away from being in first place, one point away from scoring full marks or one point away from simply being the best. and you think - one point. just one more point and i would have reached the ultimate bliss. but have you ever considered the points that you didn't intend on achieving? the marks that silently added up to make your final score better, but you were never counting on them to reach your goal in the first place. the ones that helped you get to being just one point away.
sometimes you either know something or you don't.
but sometimes guesswork and thoughtful estimations can play a major role in determining your outcome. a 50/50 chance. a true/false question. a multiple choice gamble. a gut instinct. a lot of the time you will get more things correct than you thought you would. relish in the joy of over-achieving. on other occasions, you will be so close to perfect but just not close enough and being one point away can seem like the end of the world. but what if things had been different along the way and you ended up getting more than one wrong? there are so many questions we get right without even realizing and we get annoyed when we get one wrong! really if you only get one wrong, isn't that a good thing? take a look at how much you got right for a change. to wrap up this thought, what i'm trying to say is don't get yourself down about the one mark that you didn't manage to attain. rejoice in the marks that you did get and smile about the fact that you totally guessed the answer to "what is the name of Madonna's 1994 studio album?" and got it right! you will never know all of the answers to everything but more often than not, you will surprise yourself! p.s. the answer was "Bedtime Stories". whoever would have known? well, apparently, my trivia team - that's who!

she truly aMUSEs me. .. . .. . ... . .. . she's quirky and original, outspoken and dynamic. i saw her perform in brisbane last year. .. .. . . . .... . . beyond amazing!
